WHO IS CEF®
CEF Heartland of Georgia is a local chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Georgia. The organization Child Evangelism Fellowship was founded in 1937 and is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God and establish them in a Bible believing church for Christian living. CEF has missionaries in all 50 states and almost every country in the world. Last year alone, over 25+ million children throughout the world were touched by CEF ministries.

Our Mission
CEF Heartland’s mission is to share the Good News of the Gospel with children in our community, grow them into disciples of Jesus, and equip them to change their world. We do this through Good News Clubs in public schools, 5-Day Clubs in the summer, and training Christians with effective ministry tools.
Why Children?
First and foremost, we believe that God clearly values and loves children; therefore, we value and love children. Second, we believe that children’s greatest need is to have a relationship with God; therefore, we must share the gospel with them and help them grow to become disciples of Jesus. Lastly, we believe that children truly are our future. In order to change the trajectory of our community, our nation, and the world, it is critical that we reach the children and help them become leaders who will go out and make an impact in the world and for the kingdom.
About CEF Heartland
Read more about our ministries…Cathy Peek, the former state director of Georgia from 2001-2009, established this area in October 2009 and became the Heartland Regional Director. This region is where the Peeks live. Cathy comes to CEF with 35+ years ministry experience in every imaginable facet of children’s ministry. Her first experience with CEF® was in Bible College at the age of 18. Along with her other ministry ventures, she volunteered with CEF® for 25 years and became a full-time missionary in 1999.How Are We Funded?
